Intrepid Science is all about communicating science and adventure from the ends of the Earth

Scientists telling stories

The scientists and adventurers of old had a wonderful ability to capture the public's imagination. The early expeditions electrified the public with tales of adventure and discoveries in a new land. Photographs, film, audio recordings, books, newspaper reports, magazine articles and lectures were all used to whisk the audience away to remote and distant lands.

Led by Professor Chris Turney, Intrepid Science is a group of scientists dedicated to recapturing the excitement of discovery. Supporting the efforts of the Earth's Past Future program, we're exploring the world to better understand how the planet has changed and what this means for the future.
